Finally managed to get an extension on my carte de séjour today -- it took 4.5 hours! I'm going to guard that scrap of paper with my life.

4.5 hours in one spot? My goodness. Does Paris feel like home? Thank you for visiting and for your concern. Poor David, being at home nearly full time is like a bull in a china shop. But I have to say when he goes out so does the family and work we must. Maybe I will finally get fit...Maybe. Hope your summer has been lovely and yes, do guard the carte with your life...hehe.

Hi Jenny N: Yes, it was 3.5 hours waiting in line outside in the hot sun with no shade, and then an hour waiting inside. I was afraid I would look like a lobster afterwards because I forgot to put on sunscreen and I burn in like 10 minutes! Luckily I was OK.
Hi Anne: yes, I do need a safe!!!
